Key Responsibilities:
  • Evidence Collection: Conduct thorough investigations to collect evidence related to personal injury cases. This includes gathering police reports, medical records, accident scene photographs, open records, witness statements, and any other relevant information.
  • Witness Interviews: Interview witnesses, clients, and involved parties to obtain detailed statements regarding the incident. Maintain professionalism and empathy during interactions.
  • Surveillance: Utilize surveillance techniques, when necessary, to gather additional evidence that may support our clients’ claims. This may involve monitoring subjects, documenting their activities, and providing photographic or video evidence.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain organized and comprehensive case files, ensuring all collected evidence is properly documented and stored securely. Assist in preparing evidence for court proceedings.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with attorneys, paralegals, and other investigators to develop case strategies and ensure all evidence is aligned with legal requirements.
  • Court Testimony: Prepare for and provide testimony in court when required, presenting evidence and findings professionally and confidently.
  • Compliance: Adhere to ethical standards, legal guidelines, and privacy regulations when handling sensitive information and conducting investigations.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Law, or a related field (preferred).
  • Prior experience as an investigator, preferably in a personal injury law firm or a related legal setting.
  • Strong knowledge of investigative techniques and legal procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interviewing witnesses and collaborating with the legal team.
  • Proficiency in using investigative tools, databases, and surveillance equipment.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple cases, and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Discretion and integrity when dealing with confidential information.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for on-site investigations.
